Israel! Many times

by Stephanie
(Maryland, USA)

Israel is 5000 years deep. Town after town there are remnants of Biblical and Temple Era Jewish life.

I spent my junior year of college at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and explored the country to my heart's content.

Of course the Old City of Jerusalem is the biggest attraction, but I felt so deeply connected to Masada, the final mountaintop desert fortress of the Jews when they were escaping the invading Romans.

The views of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea are amazing. Sunrise there is awe-inspiring.

Also worth mentioning is Tiberias. Lake Tiberias (Sea of Gallilea) is stunning and the mountain ranges surrounding it are beautiful. Lots of Jewish historical Rabbis are mystics are buried in the area.

I could go on and on.

Please, every one who reads this, pray for the security of Israel.
